What To Expect On Your First Visit?

Here is a compilation of the common techniques employed by my team and me, frequently blended during a treatment session, along with brief descriptions of each.

  • Active Release: The breaking down of restrictions and adhesions using movement and pressure
  • Myokinesthetic: The working of muscles that are innervated by the same nerve root on both sides of the body to eliminate abnormal muscle guarding and restore proper posture and alignment
  • Cranio-Sacral Therapy: The use of light manual pressures from the skull down to the tailbone to decrease reflexive guarding in the body related to the fight or flight response in the body
  • Trigger Point Therapy: Compression of trigger points in muscles to decrease spasm. I use the positioning of muscles to make this quicker and more tolerable for the patient
  • Postural Restoration: The use of specific exercises to reduce common underlying muscle imbalance around the pelvis and rib cage
  • Lumbar & Thoracic Adjustments: Using high velocity, low amplitude thrusts to improve joint mechanics and alignment
  • Kinesio-Taping: The use of tape to hold and restore proper joint position
  • Rolfing, NAGS & SNAGS
  • Traditional Joint Mobilizations

Restore PT is a terrific clinic. I’ve known few places where every single staff member is so wholeheartedly committed to taking such great care of their customers. From young athletes to those of us who still dream, we’re all treated with kindness and expertise. For those who need PT, Restore is a gift to Topeka!

I have never had anyone in the 40 years I have been seeing doctors and chiropractors who know the human body so well and to specifically figure out your body’s problem to help you work through pain and training to get you stronger. The whole team is wonderful!!! I tell people all the time how great Restore Physical Therapy is.

I am a 75-year-old male with muscle atrophy and sciatica in my right leg. I recommend Restore & its therapists without reservation. When I began, my goal was to be able to walk fairly normally and put my cane in the closet. They have guided me to reach that goal. I have spoken with friends who have had a similar experience here.
